I am very curious how the European Commission will tackle the using of tax optimisation by the tech companies with the old tools of the state aid.  This is rethoric, rather than an action with a forseeble outcome. In the end, the selective use of different taxation regimes exists since taxes were created on Earth. This is called “tax optimisation”.  In case of the internet, the situation is much more in favor of those using the different options available because the internet is ubiquitous and so is the business using the internet.

It is interesting to note also that Romania is among the countries suspicioned by the EC, although it was not specifically mentionned.
